Undergraduate Internship in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Central Bank provides an opportunity for advanced university students enrolled in an undergraduate program in higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily courses in economics, to complete an undergraduate internship in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of undergraduate internships is to provide students an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and complement the knowledge acquired during their university education.

The application for an undergraduate internship can be submitted through a Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina application form to the Human Resources Department from January to March of the current year, whereas the internship is completed between April and October. Students who fulfill the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina criteria for completing an

undergraduate internship receive a decision on completing an undergraduate internship, while students who do not fulfill the criteria are notified on the status of their applications by e-mail.

Throughout the duration of the undergraduate internship, an employer of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is assigned to be the mentor of the student. Under the supervision of a mentor, students are involved in performing tasks within the scope of the organizational unit they are assigned to, with the aim of gaining practical experience and developing skills and knowledge in the area they are studying.

The duration of an undergraduate internship is a maximum of 20 working days and the Central Bank offers a compensation for meals at work.

 

Post Graduate Internship in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina

In addition to advanced university students enrolled in undergraduate programs in higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central Bank provides practical training for postgraduate and doctoral students studying courses in banking and central banking in higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Bank’s abilities and available resources.

The application for a post graduate internship can be submitted through a Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina application form.

After the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina management considers the applications, the student or academic researcher is informed about their application status by receiving a decision on completing a post graduate internship in the case of approval, or by receiving a notice via e-mail in case the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not able to offer a post graduate internship.

Throughout the duration of the post graduate internship, an employer of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is assigned to be the mentor of the student or academic researcher.

The post graduate internships last from 5 to 10 working days and the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina does not provide a compensation during the internship.
