Vodeni žig
Watermark

A multitone watermark of the sculptures bearing lamps from the main entrance to the Central Bank of Bosnia & Herzegovina in Sarajevo. Below the sculpture theme, each KM denomination has its own highlight watermark showing the value of the banknote. The watermark is visible under transmitted light, i.e. when the banknote is held up against the light.

Zaštitna nit
Cleartext security thread

Security thread fully embedded in the paper, with text “10 KM” - denomination of the banknote.

Prozirni registar
See-through registar

When the banknote is held up against the light, printed elements on the front side and the back side of the banknote fit together to form the shape of a rhombus.

Mikrooptička zaštitna nit
Motion™ security thread

All KM banknotes of the new series feature a 4 mm wide windowed security thread. The thread motive displays a quill which moves in the direction of the viewing angle:
• When the upper edge of the banknote is tilted towards the viewer, the quill moves to the left
• When the lower edge of the banknote is tilted towards the viewer, the quill moves to the right
• When the right edge of the banknote is tilted towards the viewer, the quill moves up
• When the left edge of the banknote is tilted towards the viewer, the quill moves down

Duboka štampa
Intaglio printing

Intaglio printing is used on the front side of the banknote in the marked areas and can be felt with the fingertips.

Iridiscentna boja
Iridescent stripe

A 10 mm wide vertical iridescent stripe is applied on the banknote. The stripe displays the “KM” denomination mark and number 10. When seen at different angles, the stripe has an iridescent effect and changes color.
