Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Senad Softić, Ph.D. with his associates, participated in work of the 34th Meeting of the the Central Bank Governors' Club of the Central Asia, Black Sea Region and Balkan Countries, which was held in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, on September 26, 2015.

The central theme of this Governors' meeting, among whom there were representatives of major central banks such as Russia, China and Israel, was monetary policy management and exchange rate policy management in order to mitigate the impact of external shocks on the national economies and maintenance of the financial stability.

Discussion within this very actual topic showed that the positions of small and open economies and major industrial countries, with important impact on global developments, are significantly different, and that it is impossible to apply the identical framework of crisis management in all countries.

It was concluded that, in spite of numerous challenges that the economies are facing, the majority of Member States of the 'Governors' Club will close up the year with limited growth of gross domestic product (GDP).

Twice a year, Governors' Club of the Central Asia, Black Sea and the Balkan Countries gathers the governors and other senior officials from the monetary and finances world in order to exchange views on actual topics and further improve mutual cooperation.
