The CBBH Organizes an International Conference Entitled „20 Years of Stability“ 9/18/2017 Tweet September 18, 2017 On the occasion of marking 20 years of its operations, the Central Bank of BiH (CBBH) is organizing an international conference entitled “20 Years of Stability”, which will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Sarajevo. The participation in the conference has been confirmed by the highest level domestic and international officials, governors and other representatives of central banks from Europe and the region, as well as policy makers and experts from the European Union and international financial institutions. The CBBH Governor Senad Softić, Ph.D. will welcome the guests by his introductory speech and the opening speeches will be given by the Member of the Presidency of BH, Mr. Mladen Ivanić, Ph.D. and theChairman of the Council of Ministers of BH, Mr. Denis Zvidić, Ph. D., the Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank, Mr. Benoit Coeuré, and the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH and the European Union Special Representative, Ambassador H. E. Mr. Lars-Gunnar Wigemark. The Conference is structured in three sessions. Within the first session, the former Governors and the current Governor of the CBBH will talk about the previous 20 years of the CBBH. Special addresses at the beginning of this session will be delivered by Mr. Nadeem Ilahi, Head of the International Monetary Fund Mission to BH and Ms. Linda van Gelder, Director of the World Bank for the Western Balkans. The second session will be dedicated to new challenges for central banks in the process of joining the European Union, while the topic of the third session is related to the key macroeconomic aspects in the process of joining the European Union. The leaders of the central banks of Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria and senior representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Directorate for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission will take part in these two sessions. During the Conference, Governor Softić will promote the monograph issued on the occasion of marking the anniversary of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The day of the conference will also be the last day of the numismatic exhibition entitled “Trace of Money” which has been opened in the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo from August 11, 2017.
