Foreign Reserves Reached Record of KM Five Billion

Foreign reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) reached the record level of five billion Convertible Marks (around Euro 2.5 billions Euro or USA $ 3.3 billion), which is the highest level of foreign reserves since the establishment of the CBBH.

Trend of growing of foreign reserves continued, and the increase, when compared to the end of 2005 level of KM 4.2 billions, amounts to some KM 800 millions.

Foreign reserves at the level of KM five billion provide coverage for 4.8 months of the average import of goods and services in 2005. At the same time, free foreign reserves also increased and amount to KM 198 million.

The CBBH Governor Kemal Kozarić and Management are very satisfied with trend of foreign reserves growth, which is another evidence of successful operations of the CBBH.
