Delegation of the Deutsche Bundesbank visited the Central bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina 5/25/2023 Tweet International technical cooperation is the main instrument of exchange of knowledge contributing to the preparations for the European Union (EU) membership, strengthening coordination in BH, the region and the EU, it has been concluded during the bilateral meeting of the officials of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) and high-level delegation of the Deutsche Bundesbank which has visited the CBBH today, on 25 May 2023. Members of the CBBH Management, Vice Governors Ernadina Bajrović, Marko Vidaković and Željko Marić, informed the delegation of the Bundesbank includingBurkhard Balz, Member of the Executive Board of the Bundesbank, Martin Dinkelborg,Director of the Centre for International Dialogue and Peter Spicka, IPA Projects Coordinator, on current issues in the CBBH operations. The significance of strengthening partnership and inter-institutional dialogue has been stressed along with thankfulness for cooperation and support provided by the Deutsche Bundesbank to the CBBH. Discussion was focused on the implementation of Programme of Strengthening Capacities of Western Balkans Central Banks with purpose of integration into the European System of Central Banks. The programme, in addition to the CBBH, also includes banking agencies. BH status as candidate for the EU membership brings new challenges for the CBBH and requires clear engagement of the CBBH and all the institutions in BH, working together on strengthening institutional capacities of the CBBH and financial system in BH.
