CBBH Host of Sports Meetings of the Central Banks From the Region

6/21/2006

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the host of the Second Sports Meetings of the Central Banks from the Region, which will be held from June 22 until June 25, 2006.

Organization of such type of meetings has commenced last year, so the first sport games of the central banks from the region were held in Belgrade, in the organization of the National Bank of Serbia, with the participation of seven central banks from the region.

This year, ten central banks besides the CBBH will participate: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. It is expected that there will be close to 300 participants, and governors from some central banks will be among participants.

All competition will be held in Sarajevo “Zetra” Sports Venue, in four disciplines: volleyball, table tennis, soccer and basketball.

In this way, the CBBH wants to strengthen the overall good cooperation among the central banks of the region and improve it through people starting to know each other better.

After this year’s games in Sarajevo, next sport games of central banks will be held in Greece.
