The Governors of the Central Banks of Albania and Montenegro Visited CBBH

Governors of Central Banks of Albania and Monte Negro Mr. Ardian Fullani and Mr. Ljubiša Krgović today on June 23. 2006. visited the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and talked with Governor of CBBH Kemal Kozarić and Vice Governors M. Sc. Ljubiša Vladušić and Feriha Imamović discussing the mutual cooperation process, with emphasize on technical cooperation.

Governor Kozarić presented to the Governor of Albania and the Governor of Monte Negro the results achieved by the CBBH during nine years of its operation, as well as positive and negative macroeconomic indicators, pointing out that currently foreign trade deficit and unemployment are two biggest problems for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Central banks of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania are ready to improve their cooperation and to exchange experiences within monetary policy and consequently determine common issues and review what is needed to achieve the European Union (EU) standards.

Governor Fullani pointed out that on their way towards Europe the central banks and both countries should act together having in mind the fact they are both small countries and this is small region.

Governor Kozarić discussed mutual cooperation with Governor of the Central Bank of Monte Negro Mr. Krgović. During conversation it was proposed cooperation within banking supervision and law regulation, considering that the Central Bank of Monte Negro is currently in the process of making new law of the Central Bank.

Also it was proposed the common exchange of the experience that the Central Banks have gained or are gaining at their way to the EU.
