Governor Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D. at the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings

The Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmina Selimović,Ph.D. will attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), going to be held in Washington, D.C., from April 21 to 26, 2025.

These meetings bring together the world's leading decision-makers in the fields of economics and finance to exchange views on current global challenges, economic prospects, and necessary reforms.

During her stay in Washington, Governor Selimović will attend the following key events:

  • G30 2025 Spring Lecture, organized by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and the International Monetary Fund;
  • 39th Annual G30 International Banking Seminar, one of the most influential events in the field of global economics and finance;
  • Regional meeting on the implementation of the TIPS clone system for the Western Balkans – focused on harmonization with European standards in the field of instant payments;
  • Discussion on the role of financial inclusion in promoting women’s economic empowerment in Europe and Central Asia. This informal session, held at the invitation of the WB for Europe and Central Asia, will bring together women leaders from the region to discuss obstacles to women’s financial inclusion and the WB’s efforts to overcome them;
  • Bilateral meetings with senior officials of the IMF and the World Bank, to strengthen institutional cooperation and support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s reform priorities.

The Governor’s participation in these meetings confirms the commitment of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina to strengthening the international cooperation, modernizing the financial system, and actively contributing to regional and global economic stability.
