The CNB delegation held a two-day workshop at the CBBH on the implementation of the SEPA standards 7/31/2025 Tweet A two-day workshop was held in the premises of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), at which representatives of the Croatian National Bank (CNB) shared their experiences regarding the implementation of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). This activity represents an important form of expert support provided by the CNB to the CBBH in the context of the European integration process and harmonisation with the EU standards. The workshop brought together experts in the field of payment transactions and financial infrastructure, and the central topics were: the SEPA process management, the organisation and functioning of the SEPA payment infrastructure, regulatory framework for the SEPA payments, and challenges and effects experienced by the Republic of Croatia when joining the SEPA system. Representatives of the CNB shared with the CBBH officials the specific operational and regulatory experiences from the process of transition to the SEPA standards, including inter-institutional cooperation, adaptation of national legislation, as well as the impact of the SEPA implementation on the payment services market and end users. This expert exchange of experiences is an additional step in strengthening regional cooperation and providing specific support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to the EU membership. The workshop was held with the assistance of the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, as part of the support to the EU integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The CBBH expresses its gratitude to everyone, and especially to the Croatian National Bank, for their valuable technical assistance and willingness to share knowledge and practice in one of the key areas of the European economic integration.
