Delegation of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina in visit to the Croatian National Bank 10/28/2025 Tweet The delegation of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), led by Governor Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D. together with Vice Governors Emir Kurtić, Ph.D. and Marko Vidaković, M.Sc. was in official visit to the Croatian National Bank (CNB). During the meeting with CNB Governor Boris Vujčić, key topics of common interest were discussed, including the process of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, strengthening the CBBH institutional capacities and progress in preparations for joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). Governor Selimović stressed the importance of continuous exchange of experiences with institutions that have already been through the process of harmonisation with European standards. “The Republic of Croatia and the Croatian National Bank represent a valuable example of successful integration into the European financial system. The exchange of experiences, especially in the fields of payment systems and regulatory adjustments, is highly important for the Central Bank of BH and the entire financial sector,” said Governor Selimović. During the visit, cooperation in the field of payment systems supervision, digitalisation of financial services and the role of central banks in strengthening the financial sector resilience were also discussed. As part of the visit, Governor Selimović visited the Croatian Mint, where successful cooperation in the field of convertible mark (KM) coins minting was discussed. On that occasion, a contract was signed for the production of coins in the denominations of 2 and 5 KM, which is a continuation of cooperation in providing domestic currency of high quality and security standards. The production and quality control processes were presented, as well as plans for further cooperation. This visit once again confirmed close and partner relations between the CBBH and the CNB, continuously contributing to strengthening financial stability and the European perspective of the region.
