Two day Meeting on Succession in Belgrade Ends

The Committee for Distribution of Financial Assets and Liabilities of the Former SFRY from the Annex C of the Succession Agreement has agreed on forming the joint expert team for the issue of debt of the former SFRY to Libya during the meeting which has ended today in Belgrade.

The Resolution on claims of the former SFRY on Albania has also been passed. The agreement was made on the amount of around 20 million clearing dollars. The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) is authorized to prepare the Memorandum with Albania, which would be signed by the successor states with Albania in accordance with the key, that is, percentages established in the agreement from 2001.

The Committee has not managed to reach an agreement on debt towards the former CSFR. Namely, BH solved its debt towards Czech Republic bilaterally and during the meeting in Belgrade, new debts have appeared for which the members of the Committee have not defined whether they can be allocated or not.

Yesterday, during the first day of the Committee meeting, the agreement was reached on distribution of shares of the Yubmes Bank, according to which, 3.440 shares of Yubmes Bank would be distributed and BH would receive 533 shares. At the day before the distribution, the value of those shares was KM 1.660.000.

The next meeting of the Committee will be held in April 2006 in Sarajevo.
