The CBBH has signed agreements on cooperation with public faculties 2/19/2026 Tweet The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) has signed cooperation agreements with several public faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim to strengthen institutional and academic relations, improve research work and develop professional competencies of students and young researchers. The agreements envisage the implementation of joint research, analytical and innovation projects, the engagement of academic staff through guest lectures and tutorships, as well as the organisation of tutorship programmes and guest lectures by the Central Bank employees. Also, the cooperation includes the development of professional and summer internship programmes for students, partnership in scientific publishing and support for research projects, and the organisation of workshops, conferences, professional meetings and other forms of academic and professional exchange of knowledge. The Governor of the CBBH, Jasmina Selimović Ph.D., pointed out that investing in knowledge and connecting with the academic community is one of the key elements of long-term stability and development. "Cooperation with universities and faculties allows us to connect theoretical knowledge and practical experience, encourage research in areas of importance to the CBBH, and open up space for professional development for young people. The Central Bank remains committed to strengthening professional capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and building partnerships with the academic community", stressed Governor Selimović. The CBBH is already implementing a project of integrating financial literacy into the education system with several faculties and has achieved excellent cooperation. Today's cooperation agreements have been signed with the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Sarajevo, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in East Sarajevo, the Faculty of Economics in Tuzla, the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo and the Faculty of Economics in Pale. The selection of faculties was made in accordance with the business needs and processes of the CBBH. In the coming period, it is planned to sign cooperation agreements with the Faculty of Information Technologies in Mostar, the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka and the Faculty of Law in Banja Luka.
