The former Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) Peter Nicholl has received an award of the New Zealand Government, which included him in the New Year’s Honors List, which was announced on January 1, 2006.

In this way, Nicholl has been appointed as a Companion of the Queen’s Service Order for Community Service in recognition of the work he has done in establishing the CBBH as an effective institution and for his contribution in the bank process reform in BH.

“I am very pleased that, even though New Zealand and BH are so far apart, my work in BH has been noticed and recognized by the Government of New Zealand”, Nicholl said.

On December 31, 2005, Nicholl’s mandate in the CBBH Governing Board ended. His future activities will be focused on the establishment of the banking supervision in the CBBH.
