CBBH publishes the estimates of core inflation and inflation in the sector of services for May 2026 7/3/2026 Tweet On the basis of the available official statistics for consumer price indices in BH, and the relevant weights, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) has estimated (LINK) the annual core inflation, for the first five months of 2026, at 4.45%. The annual growth of average consumer prices in the sector of services has been estimated at 4.86%. According to official statistics, inflation pressures slightly increased in May compared to April, in the price categories included in the calculation of core inflation. The CBBH estimate of core inflation on the basis of official statistics is almost identical as our core inflation estimate from the June round of nowcasts, i.e. it is lower by only 1 bp. The levels of the annual core inflation and inflation in the sector of services, for the first five months of 2026, increased compared to the levels recorded for the entire previous year, indicating the persistent domestic inflation pressures (Graph 1).
