Howard Sumka Conducted Testing of the Software Donated to the CBBH

Today, October 21, 2005, in the premises of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Howard Sumka has performed testing of the installed software which issues reports on amount, denomination structure and value of processed cash.

The Software makes possible issuing of reports of all machines that perform processing of currency (counting, sorting and checking of authenticity of banknotes) in the CBBH vaults.

The value of the software is KM 415.613, 87, out of which KM 311.195, 08 is the USAID’s donation, and KM 104.418, 79 are funds of the CBBH.

Governor of the CBBH Kemal Kozarić considers this help of the USAID as very significant for further improvement of the CBBH operations.

USAID has been helping the CBBH for years and it was involved in the realization of several projects, such as the reform of the payments system, establishing of the Single Registry of Transaction Accounts, creation of the Disaster Recovery Plan, donation of hardware and software for the electronic supervision of cash and money inflow, as well as in providing of expert technical assistance.

With the gratitude of the CBBH Governor for the help provided so far, the mutual wish for continuation of the successful cooperation was stressed.
