2, 33 Billion KM of Citizen's Deposits in the Banks in BH

On September 30 2004, citizen's deposits in the commercial banks in BH were 2, 33 billion KM, what is increase for 30% comparing with the same period last year, i.e. 21% comparing with the end of last year.

According to CBBH data, deposits in the local currency were around 706 million KM or 30, 3%, while deposits in the foreign currency were around 1, 62 billion KM or 69, 7%.

Regarding depositing, the long- termed and savings deposits are 1, 26 billion KM or 54%, while deposits on sight are 1, 07 billion KM or 46%.

Total deposits, in accordance to the methodology of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including gyro accounts of citizens, deposits by sight, long- termed and savings deposits of citizens, restricted deposits of citizens and interest rates on deposits.

80, 5% deposits from the total 2, 33 billion KM of citizen's deposits in commercial banks, are concentrated in eight banks.
