Vice Governor Kovacevic to Leave the Position in the CBBH

At the session that was held on Thursday 29 April in Sarajevo, at his own request, the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) relieved Dragan Kovačević of the Vice Governor duty due to his leaving to a new position.

Mr. Kovačević will perform his duty of the Vice Governor until 31 May, 2004 and the name of the new Vice Governor, who will assume his position will be announced after the Governor, with the approval of the Governing Board, makes the decision on it.

Mr. Kovačević was appointed the CBBH Vice Governor in 1997 and last two years, he has been charged for the Statistics and Research Department and the Payment Division in the CBBH.

The Governing Board wants to thank to Mr. Kovačević for his devoted work and emphasizes that he has made a great contribution in the establishment and successful work of the CBBH.

At the session, the CBBH Governing Board accepted the Financial Reports of the CBBH and the Report on the performance of the CBBH's Financial Plan for the first quarter of 2004, concluding that the CBBH realized positive results during the first quarter. The Financial Reports for the first quarter will be sent to the BH Presidency.

A commission to organize a tender for the CBBH's external auditors was established at the session. The CBBH has established a policy of having a tender for this service every three years.

The next meeting of the Governing Board of the CBBH will be held on 26 May, 2004 in Mostar.
