The America - Bosnia Cultural Foundation has awarded the Peace Award to the Governor of the Central Bank of BH (CBBH) Peter Nicholl for his accomplishments and contribution in the development of BH.

The award ceremony was organized on March 3, as a part of the event entitled "Week of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Culture in the United Nations", which is being held at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The award to the Governor Nicholl was presented for his extraordinary contribution to the creation of the stable BH currency and conditions for the economic development of the country.

Governor sees this award as the recognition of the achievements of all the Board members and staff of the CBBH. "Together we have built a sound and efficient institution and that is very pleasing and satisfying", Mr. Nicholl said.

During the award ceremony, the Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamović announced the US Diplomat Richard Holbrooke as the honorary citizen of Tuzla.
