The CBBH Appointed Observer in the Board of the Indirect Tax Authority

Governor of the Central Bank of BH (CBBH) Peter Nicholl decided that, for a certain period, he would be the CBBH observer at the meetings of the Indirect Tax Authority Board, after which, this duty would be transferred to the CBBH Vice Governor Dragan Kovačević.

The Decision on the appointment of the observer in the Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority is based on the Law on the Indirect Tax System in BH, according to which the CBBH Governor has to appoint the observer in the Board.

As the mandate of the CBBH Governor ends on December 31, 2004, Governor Nicholl decided that he would perform the duty of the observer at the meetings of the Board of the Indirect Tax Authority for a certain period.

Sometime in the later part of this year, Vice Governor Kovačević would assume this duty. As he has responsibility for the Research and Statistics Department of the CBBH, he can assist the Board with economic analysis and data.

In order to provide the smooth transition of the observer's duties, Vice Governor Kovačević will, together with Governor Nicholl, attend the meetings of the Indirect Tax Authority Board.
