200 KM Banknote Will be Printed by Company OeBS From Vienna

On May 30,2001 the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina selected the company that will print a new KM 200 banknote for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The selected company is Oesterreichische Banknoten und Sicherheitsdruck GmbH (hereinafter OeBS) from Vienna (Austria).
Governing Board made decision following presentations on KM 200 banknote security features and paper quality, as given by representatives of three printing companies out of five bidders. Presentation were made in the Main Office of the Central Bank in Sarajevo on May 29,2001 in the presence of the Central Bank authorities and local experts. OeBS Company has been printing banknotes for almost 200 years (since 1816). The experts of this company made the design for EURO banknotes. OeBS is also authorised for printing EURO banknotes.

Within next two weeks Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will negotiate the details of the security features, design, quantity and price with OeBS company.
