The First Seven Days of KM Exchange in Croatia through the Splitska Bank

During the first (7) days of KM exchanges in Croatia through Splitska banka d.d., citizens of BiH have exchanged KM 30.744,- into Kuna. Splitska banka d.d. management officials have told the CBBH, that the start of exchanges on 1 July 1999 was a little slower than anticipated, however the number of people using the service increases daily. In fact, in the last two days, the amount doubled from just over 15.000,-KM exchanged to the present level as of close of business Thursday 8, July 1999. "This is very good news for us at the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is gratifying that people appreciate the service and the opportunity to use their KM in Croatia", said Governor Peter Nicholl. It is expected that usage of the exchange program will increase even more as people return from holiday or business in Croatia and share the news with their friends and collegues about how easy it is to exchange their KM in Croatia at Splitska banka.d.d.
