KM Exchange in Austria, Germany and Switzerland Commences on April 1

The Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Peter Nicholl is pleased to announce the that Convertible Mark, (KM) will begin trading at specific banks and locations in Austria, Germany and Switzerland beginning April 1, 1999.

In honor of this historic occasion, Governor Nicholl will be joined by the BiH ambassador to Austria, Dr. Emina Keco Isakovic, representatives of the Austrian National Bank and from two Austrian banks participaiting in the network, for a signing ceremony at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Vienna Austria, at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 1999.

All interested members of the news media are also invited to attended as many technical and practical questions will be answered about this program. The banks participating from these three countries listed mark only the beginning of the construction of a network throughout Europe, by the CBBH, in order to make the KM a truly European Currency.
