Visit of the Canadian Ambassador to the CBBH

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) was visited by Ambassador of Canada in BIH, H.E. David Hutchings.

While talking with the CBBH Governor Kamala Kozarić and Vice Governors Feriha Imamović, Anka Musa and Ljubiša Vladušić, Canadian Ambassador obtained information on the activities of the Bank, economic situation in BIH and investment opportunities.

In presentation of the macroeconomic indicators, Governor Kozarić pointed out that there is grey economy present in BIH, although its participation in Gross Domestic Product was significantly decreased by the introduction of the VAT.

The Governor emphasized that the further inflow of investments is expected, especially considering that several big companies, being mostly in state ownership, have not been privatized yet.

The Canadian Ambassador announced the possibility of higher inclusion of Canada in the economic life of BIH, and supported the proposal of the CBBH leaders on cooperation in the joint project within the financial sector.
