Ambassador of the National Republic of China Visited the CBBH

The Ambassador of the National Republic of China, H. E. Mr. Liu Wenxin and Adviser for Economic and Trade Issues Mr. Zhu Darong visited the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) today, on November 10, 2008, and met with the CBBH Governor Kemal Kozarić.

Most of the topics during the Ambassador's and the CBBH Governor's discussion focused on the possibilities for the improvement of economic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and China, as well as, on the global economic issues. Ambassador Wenxin expressed particular interest in the possibility of investing Chinese capital in BH, as well as, in investment opportunities in our country. Governor Kozarić emphasized the importance of foreign direct investments for Bosnia and Herzegovina and promised that the CBBH will provide necessary information in order to make it easier on all interested investors. 

In discussing global economic issues, Governor Kozarić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina   maintained stability, and that the CBBH and commercial banks in our country successfully reacted to the first indirect effects of global financial crisis. Monetary stability and the stability of the banking sector have been provided which are the most important for potential investors.

Ambassador Wenxin offered the Governor a formal invitation for the representatives of the CBBH to visit the People's Bank of China in order to strengthen cooperation between these two monetary institutions.
