Representatives of the CBBH and the USAID Signed Memorandum of Understanding

12/18/2008

The Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) Kemal Kozarić and Acting Director of the Mission of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Gregg Wiitala signed a Memorandum of Understanding today, on December 18, 2008 in Sarajevo.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to establish the roles and responsibilities of the USAID and the CBBH related to technical assistance aimed at educating the public about various financial services, within a new USAID project entitled "Partnership for Advancing Reforms in the Economy (PARE)". The CBBH and USAID intend, within the PARE project, to promote the economic literacy of the general public and increase public understanding of financial services that are new in Bosnia and Herzegovina's economic practices.

The CBBH will set a new feature with economic and financial terminology on its website, while USAID will engage experts who will work to develop the content of this feature.
