Counterfeited Coins of KM 5 Denomination are Noticed

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) informs the citizens and participants in cash payments system that counterfeited coins of KM5 denomination are noticed in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In question is poorly manufactured counterfeit, which can be easily recognized. Counterfeited coins of KM5 have more prominent shine comparing to the original coin of this denomination, and color of coin's center, which is gold in the original, easily removed off from the counterfeited coins. Denomination mark on the coins face (number 5) and pigeon motive on the reverse side are more convex and strengthened than on the original coins. The weight of counterfeited coins is less than of the original ones.

Although the citizens, who got in possession of the counterfeited coins of KM5 denomination, have recognized that in question are the counterfeits, the CBBH appeal to all citizens and participants in the payments system to pay much more attention on the coins of this denomination.
