New Head of the USAID Mission in BH Visited the CBBH

New Head of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to BH Mr. Allan Reed visited on 16 November 2009 the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) and talked with the CBBH Governor Kemal Kozarić, Ph.D. about current and future cooperation between the USAID and CBBH.

Governor Kozarić thanked to the USAID Mission in BH for the support, taking into consideration the fact that the CBBH and USAID implemented together a number of projects in the CBBH, of which reform of the payment system in BH and the establishment of the Central Registry of Credits of the citizens and legal entities are considered to be highly successful.

This Registry, according to Governor Kozarić, proved to be especially significant during the current crises, because, based on the data from the Registry, the commercial banks and other financial institutions have obtained information on the credit abilities of the clients, which enabled them to assess risk related to their investments.

Governor Kozarić informed the Head of the USAID Mission in BH about preparation of the Plan of Activities for 2010, as well as that the CBBH will suggest the USAID Mission to implement some activities together based on joint financing, according to practice already used by now.

The possibilities for cooperation in area of training for the CBBH employees were discussed as well.
