CBBH Puts Into Circulation Additional Quantities of 50 KM Banknotes, and 1 KM and 20 Fening Coins

On Monday, December 14, 2009, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) will put into circulation 50 KM banknotes, and 1 KM and 20 Fening coins, additionally printed and minted in 2009.                                                       

Banknotes and coins have the same design, except that the year 2009 is indicated on banknotes and coins as the year of printing and minting.

Banknotes and coins will be put into circulation successively, i.e. as needed, and the earlier issues of 50 KM banknotes, and 1 KM and 20 Fening coins will stay in circulation.

The CBBH reminds the citizens that the 5 KM banknote can be used as the legal tender until December 31, 2009. From January 1, 2010, 5 KM banknotes will no longer be the legal tender and will not be accepted in circulation for the settlement of any liabilities.

The 5 KM coins will stay in circulation.
