Governor Kozaric About the Meeting With the Association of Citizens for the Return of Old Foreign Currency Savings

Related to the allegations published by the Association of Citizens for Return of Old Foreign Currency Savings in BH and in the Immigration Community in its press release, referring to  the meeting that the representatives of the Association held with the CBBH Governor Ph.D. Kemal Kozarić, Governor Kozarić wants to clarify to the public certain allegations from the above mentioned press release of the Association.

In the discussion with the Delegation of the Association, led by the President of the Governing Board Svetozar Nišić, Governor Kozarić expressed his understanding and support to the efforts of this Association in their struggle for the realization of citizens rights - the return of old foreign currency savings, especially in resolving  the problem of old foreign currency savings repayment, the ones that BH citizens had in Slovenian and Serbian banks.

Along with the invitation for verification of the old foreign currency savings, the Governor tried to explain the reasons and principles of verification to the representatives of the Association. He also supported the proposal of the Association to examine the cases for which there are information on the possible abuse of the old foreign currency savings.

The Governor supported the proposal that a representative of the Association of Citizens for the Return of Old Foreign Currency Savings in BH and in the Immigration Community is included in the Negotiating Team for resolving of the old foreign currency savings issue.


All other statements in the press release of Association of Citizens for the Return of Old Foreign Currency Savings in BH and in the Immigration Community is mere free interpretation and evaluation of the Association and President of its Governing Board.

The CBBH once again emphasizes that the issue of old foreign currency savings is not one of its competencies, and accordingly, CBBH is not included in the process of solving this problem.
