International Conference on Human Resources entitled "The Role and Importance of Human Resource Management in Central Banks and Other Financial Institutions", organized in Sarajevo on Thursday, 25 February 2010 by the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina was concluded by the Round Table on technical cooperation of the central banks.

The conference presented the completion of the Project "Strengthening the Capacity of Human Resource Management in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina", which was started in September 2009 and was implemented within the Twinning Light program. The Project was funded by the European Union and implemented in cooperation with the partner Central Banks of Germany and the Czech Republic.

During the Conference and the Round Table, the project was assessed as highly successful and it opened the possibility for continuing the cooperation with the central banks of the EU member countries and the countries which are on their ways to the European integrations.

Experiences of central banks in managing human resources were presented at the conference. It was pointed out that the role and importance of human resource management is growing and that human resources should be initiators of changes and responses to the challenges of modern time, such as globalization, technological innovation, aspirations towards European integration and others, which requires professional and educated staff.
