Deadline Extended For Replacing Of Banknotes In Denominations Of Fening 50, KM 1 And KM 5

The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), at its last session, adopted the Decision on replacing of KM banknotes in denominations of Fening 50, KM 1 and KM 5. These banknotes have been withdrawn from circulation and are no longer a legal tender.

For the citizens who own these banknotes, the banks will be conducting the replacement of these banknotes in period 1 November 2012 - 31 December 2017. Through its field vaults, the CBBH will be successively receiving the withdrawn banknotes from commercial banks, but no longer than 31 March 2018.  

The Governing Board of the CBBH has adopted this decision guided by the interest of BH citizens, and within the continuous work on maintaining the confidence in the local currency - KM.

 

The CBBH reminds the citizens that the banknotes in denomination of Fening 50 have been withdrawn from circulation on 31 March 2003, the banknotes in denomination of KM 1 have been withdrawn on 31 March 2009, and the banknotes in denomination of KM 5 have been withdrawn on 31 March 2010.
