CBBH and St. Antony's College Organizing An International Conference

On November 22, 2012, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), in cooperation with the St. Antony's College, University of Oxford, is organizing an international conference entitled "Living in the Neighbourhood of the Euro Area".

The conference will be opened by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Vjekoslav Bevanda.

Very current topics will be covered by the programme of the conference, such as the challenges of financial integration with the EU and the Euro Area, and the adjustment process and the Euro adoption. The Governors' panel, whose theme will be the challenges of cooperation of the central banks with fiscal authorities, will be especially interesting. An added value is that some of the participants of the conference are coming from the countries which are already members of the euro area and have already passed the road that is standing in front of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European integrations.

The conferences will be attended by the Governors of Central Banks from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro, as well as many eminent names from the academia of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world.

The ceremony of awarding the best students research work in the field of monetary policy and central banking, presented by the CBBH on the occasion of marking its 15th anniversary, will take place during the conference.

The conference will be held in the premises of the CBBH in Sarajevo, Mehmeda Spahe Street 3, starting at 9.30 am, while the registration starts at 9.00 am.

 

Photo shooting and statements to the media will be provided from 9.00 am to 10.00 am.
