The CBBH Aid to BH Citizens Affected by the Floods 5/26/2014 Tweet Since the beginning of the natural disasters that has struck Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) initiated series of aid and humanitarian actions for the casualties and the affected. The last weekend, the CBBH distributed a certain amount of aid to citizens of Željezno polje, resident area near Zenica. During the following days, additional 14 vans with aid will be delivered to help population in Šamac, Orašje, Brčko, Maglaj, Doboj, Banja Luka, Olovo and Šekovići. The total amount of aid is BAM 100, 000 and it consists of food, hygiene articles and other necessites. The CBBH employees, also, donated funds in amount of one daily wage from net salary, and members of the Management and the Governing Board donated as per their own decisions. Along with that, the CBBH employees, at own initiative, organized a collection of aid for people of Bosnia and Herzegovina affected by the floods, as well as, in addition they personally allocated funds for provisioning of the goods, food, generator, naphtha and other supplies and equipment. They have been also engaged in the voluntary actions of cleaning and helping directly to affected people. It is, however, important to mention that there were the cases of the CBBH staff working in Brčko and Banja Luka, who were directly affected by the floods in these areas.The CBBH employees will continue to provide aid in accordance with their own capacities and the capacities of the institution in order to express their solidarity and support to the casualties and those being affected by the floods.
