The CBBH Denies Allegations of the \"Swiss\" Association

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) denies the allegations of the proposed solutions for the problems of repayment of loans in Swiss francs, which Chairman of the Association "Swiss" Kemal Duraković stated in the press release issued after a meeting held with the CBBH Governor Kemal Kozarić, Ph.D.

Governor Kozarić today had a meeting with the Chairman of the Association "Swiss", and informed him on the readiness of the CBBH to facilitate, in order to maintain monetary and financial stability, a solution that would satisfy all the parties and provide some confidence to borrowers in Swiss francs. With regard to that, the Governor informed Duraković, that at today's session, the Committee for Financial Stability will consider the situation caused by the change of the CHF exchange rate and servicing of the loans of BH citizens indexed to CHF.

The Governor specially emphasized that particular solution can be made only with the agreement of the commercial bank and its clients.

The Standing Committee for Financial Stability has recommended today to the banks that granted loans in CHF, to offer solutions within seven days that would be acceptable for clients, users of these loans.
The solutions offered by commercial banks will be discussed at the next meeting of the Committee for Financial Stability.
