D. spoke with the UniCredit Group delegation, led by CEO Andrea Orcel. The conversation was also attended by the CBBH Vice Governor, Ernadina Bajrović, M.A., Director of UniCredit Group for Eastern European countries Teodora Petkova, CEO of UniCredit bank d.d. Mostar Amina Mahmutović, and the CEO of UniCredit Bank a.d. Banja Luka Gordan Pehar. This meeting was used to exchange information on the latest developments in the financial sector of BH, and the challenges that all participants in the financial mediation process face. The Governor emphasized the good cooperation of the CBBH with representatives of the banking sector through the Association of Banks of BiH, and quality banking coordination with Entities Banking Agencies. He particularly emphasized the importance of preserving monetary stability in BH, achieved through the arrangement of the currency board, and indirectly, preserving financial stability as a whole, which is the biggest contribution in the situation of the pandemic crisis and the current geopolitical situation. "The CBBH, which this year marks 25 years of work, continuously fulfils its obligations defined by the Law and implements its strategic goals," said Governor Softić. The participants in the conversation expressed mutual satisfaction with their cooperation in the previous period and expressed the need to open space for its expansion and improvement. The Governor also informed the guests about the fact that monitoring trends and modernization of payment systems is also one of the primary goals of the CBBH. As the Governor pointed out, the CBBH is preparing to introduce innovative payment methods that are in line with contemporary trends in the EU and the world, which will encourage financial inclusion, reduce costs, enable simpler payments and improve the infrastructure of financial markets in BH. On this occasion, Mr. Orcel thanked Governor Softić for the successful cooperation so far and expressed his wish for its continuation.
