Continuation of cooperation within the project "Strengthening of Central Bank Capacities"

By signing the agreement between the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) and the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the continuation of cooperation within the project of the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) „ Strengthening of central bank capacities” has been made official.

The implementation of this project by now has been very significant for supporting the establishment and development of the CBBH functions -foreign exchange reserve management, statistics, research function, risks, information security, compliance, integrity, human resources, communication and PR… Thanks to the assistance and support of the SECO, the CBBH not only implemented everything that was agreed, but it also ensured sustainability of knowledge and introduced changes, and synchronisation with all the other projects and recommendations which the CBBH had with other organisations and institutions.

This project gives us a possibility to exchange knowledge ad experiences with colleagues from the countries included in the Programme, which is very useful, but we particularly appreciate the assistance adjusted to our specific needs. The programme is highly successful and useful for the CBBH, so we sincerely hope for the continued support of the SECO and the Geneva Institute“, said Governor of the CBBH, Senad Softić, Ph.D. in conversation with the Ambassador of Switzerland in BH, Daniel Hunn, on the occasion of signing the agreement.
