EXCEPTIONALLY SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONS OF THE CENTRAL BANK IN 2023 11/1/2023 Tweet The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) successfully fulfilled its legal mandate and defined tasks in 2023, also, while firstly and primarily maintaining monetary stability in the country, despite the extremely complex business conditions on the financial markets. Achieved results presented in summarized Financial Statements for the period of 1 January - 30 September 2023 indicate that the year 2023 will be historic in terms of the achieved business results since the establishment of the CBBH, that is, in all 26 years of its operations. At its regular session held on October 30, 2023, the CBBH Governing Board adopted the aforementioned summarized Financial Statements, and in accordance with the provisions of Art. 64 of the Law on the CBBH, submitted to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the timely and extremely successful restructuring of our foreign exchange reserves portfolio , in accordance with policy changes in the euro area, the CBBH achieved the following results as of September 30, 2023: Net profit for the period KM 173,0 million (KM 25,9 million as of 31 December 2022) Total capital KM 811 million (KM 545 millionas of 31 December 2022) Currency board coverage ratio 104,73% (102,89% as of 31 December 2022) Net foreign exchange reserves KM 15,91 billion (KM 16,06 as of 31 December 2022)
