The Joint Commission for Economic Reforms and Development of the Parliament of BH visited the CBBH 11/15/2023 Tweet Today, on November 15, 2023, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina hosted a delegation of the Joint Commission for Economic Reforms and Development of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Senad Softić, Ph.D., and Vice Governors Marko Vidaković, M. Sc. and Željko Marić, Ph.D. thanked for the visit and the interest of the high officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly in the work of the Central Bank, and informed the guests about the activities, results and challenges. On this occasion, representatives of the Central Bank emphasized the importance of this institution and its contribution to monetary and financial stability. „The activities carried out within the framework of its legal mandate are the contributions of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the economy and the citizens of this country“, said the Governor, and added that the extraordinary work success, seen in a significant increase of the currency board coverage ratio, total capital, and a particularly high net profit, has been the result of taking preventive and adequate measures in the area of investing foreign exchange reserves. The delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the professional and responsible work of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that, at the current moment, stability, its role and contribution are of key importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The joint conclusion of this meeting is the priority adoption of the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities, because its non-passing could cause Bosnia and Herzegovina again enter the MONEYVAL grey list, which would have financial, political and economic consequences for the citizens of BH.
