Meeting of Selimović and Efthymiadou: Support to the CBBH through the EU Accession Process

Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D. held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Ioanna Efthymiadou. At the meeting, the Governor Selimović emphasized the CBBH cooperation with the National Bank of Greece, within the framework of the IPA regional project to strengthen the institutional capacities of central banks.

During the conversation, Governor Selimović, Ph.D. emphasized the key role of the currency board in preserving the currency and financial stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She particularly emphasized the positive financial results achieved by the CBBH, thanks to the timely and successful restructuring of the portfolio of foreign exchange reserves, which is aligned with policy changes in the euro area.

Ambassador Efthymiadou expressed her full support to the work of the CBBH, and praised the commitment of the CBBH to continuous improvement of its activities and results, where she emphasized the importance of enriching cooperation with the National Bank of Greece, especially in the context of the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
