Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina 12/13/2024 Tweet Today, on 13 December 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Georg Diwald has visited the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and become informed on the work and the activities of the institution in conversation with Governor Jasmina Selimović, Ph.D. During the visit, Ambassador Diwald and Governor Selimović exchanged opinions on the current economic environment and situation in the financial sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ambassador stressed the significance of the financial system stability and supported the efforts of the CBBH in preserving monetary stability and contributing to financial stability of the country. On this occasion, joint interests in strengthening the cooperation of the two countries were discussed, particularly with regard to the support of Austria to the economic reform processes in BH. The Ambassador praised the CBBH work, stressing the significance of institutional cooperation for further development. In this respect, an exceptionally successful cooperation between the CBBH and the Austrian National Bank, being one of the Eurosystem central banks engaged in the projects implemented by the European Central Bank in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was pointed out. Governor Selimović thanked the Ambassador for the support and stressed that the CBBH remains committed to maintaining stable financial environment, which is also one of the preconditions for continued stronger investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Such visits and discussions, Governor added, make possible further development of bilateral relations and strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
