CBBH Denies Claims of Bamcard D.D.

3/9/2007

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina denies the claim made by the BamCard d.d. in its press statement, published by the media, stating that "on the basis of the data which were published by the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BamCard is the most popular credit card in BH".

The position that the BamCard is the most popular credit card in BH is the position stated by the BamCard d.d., not the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which can be concluded on the basis of press statement issued by the BamCard d.d.

Namely, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued the press statement on March 7, 2007, in which it published the data on card operations in BH for 2006. The data published in the press statement included the data on the number of cards in BH, as of December 31, 2006, as well as the data on the number and value of transactions made in 2006 by cards - credit, debit and charge cards.

The intention of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina was to present by the means of this press statement the real usage of credit cards at BH level, without giving any evaluations.

Following this, the media have published the release issued by the BamCard d.d. which, comparing the data of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the number of cards with their own data, stated that on the basis of the data published by the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BamCard is the most popular credit card in BH.

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina business policy does not allow it to give any qualifications or to favor any commercial bank or any provided service, and therefore it is also not allowed to make any judgments on which credit card is the most popular card in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, the evaluation that the BamCard is the most popular card in the country is the evaluation of the BamCard d.d., not the estimate of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina
