Paying With 1 KM Banknote Until December 31, 2008

The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) reminds BH citizens that they can regularly use 1 Convertible Mark banknotes, as the legal tender, until December 31, 2008. After that, the banknotes of this denomination will be withdrawn from circulation and will not be accepted as the legal tender for payment of any obligations.

Commercial banks will continue to accept 1 KM banknotes from January 1 to March 31, 2009. The CBBH will receive withdrawn banknotes from commercial banks through separate vaults.

1 KM coins will remain in circulation.
